Milestones

The Design Village (TDV) has created history by becoming the first Indian design school to open a dedicated international campus in Europe. The new campus in Italy aims to blend Indian and European design education while offering global exposure, cultural immersion, and industry collaborations to aspiring designers.
The Design Village (TDV), Noida and O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), Sonipat have collaborated to transform the landscape of design education in India. Starting from the 2025-26 academic year, JGU will admit students in the design school, TDV. This marks a milestone in creating industry-aligned and interdisciplinary design courses that merge TDV’s innovative spirit with JGU’s world-class resources.
The Design Village launches India’s First Design Incubator Mridu Sahai, Co-Founder of The Design Village, added, “We’ve always believed in the power of design to create change.
It began with a question: How can bio-design address the unique environmental challenges in micro-contexts in India? As a team of multidisciplinary designers, Divyansh Jain, Vedangi Rane, Prakrithi and I were driven by a shared curiosity about the intersection of biotechnology, art, and design.
The Design Village (TDV) organised “Spatial and Performative Aesthetics”, an academic course in the form of a staged event with the theme – “Elements of Design”. The guiding principle for the performance was the concept of movements binding all the elements together.
The Design Village (TDV), located in Noida, has recently established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TU Delft in the Netherlands. This agreement aims to foster academic and industrial collaboration between these institutions, encompassing a five-year bilateral international industry exchange and cooperation programme, according to an official release.
