FASHION AND TEXTILES

Fashion design studied across two of the world's most distinct making cultures. Your first year at TDV grounds you in Indian textile traditions, garment construction, and material understanding. Then you move to Nantes, into L'Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique's fashion studios, where the curriculum covers European collection development, trend research, surface design, and the professional presentation culture of French fashion. You come back in Year 4 with a portfolio built across two creative economies and the kind of perspective that genuinely cannot be taught in one country alone.

HIGHLIGHTS

Why Fashion and Textiles.
Why Nantes.

Indian and European Studio Practice

TDV's first year is rooted in Indian textile culture, craft, and material systems. L'Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique's studios bring European fashion methodology: seasonal collection briefs, trend analysis, portfolio critique, and client presentation standards. Two very different sets of skills, both yours.

A Peer Group That Spans the World

L'Ecole de Design Nantes Atlantique has students from more than 40 nationalities studying in Nantes. Spending two years designing alongside peers who see fashion from completely different cultural vantage points changes how you approach identity, material, and market.

A Diploma Certified by the French Government

LEDNA does not award a degree on this programme. It awards the Diplome vise ayant grade de licence, certified by the French Ministry of Higher Education and recognised across Europe, in addition to your UGC-approved degree from O.P. Jindal Global University.

LIVING IN NANTES

More Affordable Than
Any Major EU City.

Nantes is a university city built for students, not tourists. The French government subsidises meals at university canteens across the country, and LEDNA has partnerships with Studapart and CROUS residence networks to keep housing costs manageable. Studying design in Europe does not have to mean paying London or Milan prices. The full academic year in Nantes costs well under what students spend in any other comparable European design city.

Nantes
~€850
Per month, all-in. CROUS meals from €1. Housing €700/month. Transport and personal included.
London

Milan

Amsterdam
