tdv induction and orientation

The graduation from school to college is a huge milestone with young adults getting a flavour of freedom coupled with huge responsibilities of a long journey ahead. This transition, a subliminal mix of uncertainties and unprecedented opportunities in the young adults’ life, requires a mature counselling and orientation to steer the intriguing minds into the right direction.

To guide the budding designers through the eclectic and vast world of design, tdv framed a holistic induction and orientation week from 25th July 2016 at its NOIDA campus. The young designers, who have enrolled for B. Des and M. Des degree courses in various design disciplines, underwent a plethora of activities designed to map the intrinsic qualities like awareness, compassion, perseverance and courage. The budding designers were taken through the process of unlearning i.e. shedding biases and preconceived notions; they were tested further for their mental tenacity and perseverance. The induction provided them with a fresh outlook towards routine absolutes and courage to open up to the universe while still being rooted in the world, thus opening up to a new paradigm of design thinking.

“And suddenly you know…it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.”
